Pressure Sensor Topic: Pressure Autotuning Setting Procedure

FAQ No. FAQ01347

Question

What is the procedure for setting autotuning for E8F2 Pressure Sensor?

Answer

Pressure Setting Mode

Autotuning Setting

Autotuning setting enables inputting measurement values as the settings for the ON point and the OFF point rather than using the keys to input values. Teaching includes one-point teaching for setting only one point and two-point teaching for setting two points.

Note: Autotuning can be set if a is selected for the pressure setting method for initial settings.

Setting Procedure

Autotuning Setting

Note:

Up key, Down key and Set key

1. The pressure setting mode will be entered when the Set Key is pressed. The OUT1 indicator will light and t.h1 will be displayed.

2. Use the Up and Down Keys to select 1-point or 2-point autotuning for OUT1 and OUT2.

Two-point Autotuning (Hysteresis Mode Tuning)

OUT1

The present measurement value is displayed.

1. Press the Set Key when t.h1 is displayed at condition 1 in the following figure to display the present measurement value.

2. Check the measurement value, press the Set Key and execute teaching to complete teaching for the first point.

3. Press the Set Key at condition 2 in the following figure to display the present measurement value.

Two-point Autotuning:

Two-point Autotuning

There is no problem if the order or size of TEACH1 and TEACH 2 are reversed.

ON point = (TEACH1 + TEACH2) ÷ 2
OFF point = ON point − 3% F.S.
The default is 3% F.S. (variable).

4. Check the measurement value, press the Set Key and execute teaching to complete teaching for the second point.

5. Press the Set Key for approximately 2 s when t.h1 is displayed to set the settings using tuning and return to the measurement mode.

6. Press the Up and Down Keys at the same time to return to the measurement mode without making the settings.

Note: The system is automatically set to hysteresis mode when two-point teaching is performed. This setting is useful for checking vacuum contacts and other applications.

How to use measurement mode

One-point Teaching (Window Mode Teaching)

One-point Teaching (Window Mode Teaching)

1. Press the Set Key when tw is displayed at condition 3 in the following figure to display the present measurement value.

Figure: Condition 3

ON point = TEACH1 −30% F.S.
OFF point = TEACH1 +30% F.S.
The default is 10% F.S. (variable).

2. Check the measurement value, press the Set Key and execute teaching to complete teaching.

3. Press the Set Key for approximately 2 s when tw is displayed to set the settings using tuning and return to the measurement mode.

4. Press the Up and Down Keys at the same time to return to the measurement mode without making the settings.

Note: The system is automatically set to window mode when one-point teaching is performed. This setting is useful for checking source pressure and other applications.

Teaching Errors

Teaching Errors

The setting will not be accepted when the Set Key is pressed if the PF is outside the setting range or if the calculation result after tuning is outside the setting range. An error display will be shown for 1 s if tuning is performed.
