Compact Non-Contact Door Switch with
Flexible Safety Controller

The Omron non-contact door switch, D40A, combined with Omron
G9SX-NS or G9SX-NSA flexible safety controller provides users with reliable
safety interlock systems which offer consistent status
detections, even when doors are closed slowly thus eliminating
errors caused by conventional contact door switches that rely on
reed-switches.
Up to 30 pieces of D40A switches can be connected
to a single controller.
The door switch comes with a 2 colour indicators for easy
identification of whether the door is opened or closed.
Furthermore, the switch comes with
an auxiliary output that can be used to turn on the tower light
to easily identify which door is open in a multi-door
application. With the G9SX-NSA flexible safety controller, both D40A switches
and mechanical switches can be input to 1 controller thus
reducing the number of controllers and costs. In multiple
robots/motors applications, users can easily construct a partial
stop or complete stop systems with the logical AND function in
G9SX controller. D40A also complies with a broad range of global
safety standards, including category 3 safety standards (EN
954-1).
